Watershed Wonders Family Program

In this engaging program, children will discover the wonderful world of water and gain a deeper understanding of local watersheds. Through experiments and hands-on activities, students will learn about the water cycle and simulate real-life watershed challenges using a miniature watershed model. Students will discuss how our actions on land affect the water, and how wetlands and natural areas are crucial for protecting local water quality.

This program is recommended for children ages 6 to 10 and their families; however, all are welcome! A parent or guardian is required to stay on-site to assist and supervise their child(ren) for the duration of the program.

Participants should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes, no flip-flops. Please note there are no restrooms or water fountains available on site. We recommend using the restroom before you arrive.
